Real tennis is the original racket sport from which the modern game of lawn tennis is descended and only a small number of active courts still remain in the United Kingdom, Australia, United States and France. One of these courts forms the centre piece of our sports club.

The game combines elements of Lawn Tennis and Squash, but in addition the court has various target areas, sloping roof sections along three of its walls (called penthouses), and some unusual features within the scoring system. These elements combine to ensure both a physical and intellectual challenge quite unlike that of any other racket game.

At Seacourt we have a busy calendar of annual Real Tennis tournaments and competitions for members. In addition we regullarly play host to some of the world's top players in competitions such as the National League, Ladies Open and the Seacourt Silver Racquet.

We have full time professionals available for group or individual lessons throughout the week. Come along and find out more about this unique sport - but be prepared to get hooked!
